GET is pleased to announce the continuation of its collaboration with the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) for the improvement and further development of the already operational platform “EMODnet Data Ingestion”.

We continue to participate, as patner of HCMR, in the EMODnet Data Ingestion project — an initiative that promotes the collection, harmonisation, and dissemination of marine data at the European level.

The project’s main objective is to support data providers — such as research organizations, monitoring networks, and private companies — in making their marine datasets available through the EMODnet infrastructure. By doing so, it ensures that valuable information on Europe’s seas becomes openly accessible and reusable for science, policy, and the Blue Economy.

Building on its previous collaboration, GET will further enhance and operate core components of the platform, including user management, data submission services, monitoring tools for data flow, and metadata summary generation — all based on open-source technologies. This work aligns with our long-standing commitment to interoperability, open standards, and the effective management of environmental and geospatial information.

Through this renewed involvement, GET continues to contribute to the advancement of marine data accessibility and the sustainable use of Europe’s marine resources.
