- Three tools, namely: the Health Data Presentation Application presenting a map of Greece with results on the number of attributable deaths and hospital admissions during extreme weather events such as heat waves and forest fires for the different periods under various climatic scenarios for temperature levels, the Thermal Risk Visualization Application where the user can obtain information and data on the effects of Thermal Risk in GIS environment, as well as the Forecasting Tools developed in the framework of the European programs EXHAUSTION and Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation, where information is provided on current and future estimated levels of air pollutant concentrations, as well as forecasts for thermal index and fire danger in different cities.
The Observatory at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) is supported by Members of Initiative ’21.
